The text of your scientific manuscript is divided into sections, known as phrases. These are checked for identical content in the world’s largest database using special algorithms. The plagiarism check is not affected by the language in which your work is written.
Your plagiarism report
After the check, you will receive an email with a detailed PDF report. If you wish, you can also choose to receive a text message when your plagiarism check is complete. Thanks to the text highlight colors and the score, the plagiarism report shows you at a glance whether any possible plagiarism has been found. Each suspicious passage in your work is highlighted in color and listed with the respective source at the end of the report.

The plagiarism checker examines your entire work, which also includes all your directories (table of contents or bibliography). Your lists are also checked for plagiarism. However, slight similarities in directories are normal, so any similarities found can usually be ignored.
If you would rather not check the directories, you can upload only the text.
For dissertations or theses of around 50 pages, the online plagiarism check takes about 10 minutes. The length of your work, especially the word count, is decisive for the duration. For large academic works (200–300 pages), the plagiarism check can take up to an hour.
At this time, there is no AI detector that can reliably recognize AI-generated text. The results of such tools are inaccurate and scientifically unreliable. That’s why we deliberately refrain from using AI detection and instead rely on genuine source comparisons with millions of scientific texts. This gives you a precise and trustworthy result that you can really rely on.
Yes, our plagiarism checker also detects plagiarism from other languages. The plagiarism checker can detect literal translations, but it can’t detect free translations, as the various translation possibilities make identification impossible.
At BachelorPrint, your data is not stored in any database. Your work is only stored for 24 hours for processing and then automatically deleted.
- You simply upload your work as a file. This file is temporarily stored on our server. The text content is then extracted from the transferred file and your original file is deleted.
- The text is transferred to a temporary database and divided into individual sections according to language statistics.
- The plagiarism software then reads the individual text sections and checks your work for plagiarism.
- In the final step, a plagiarism report is generated in which the corresponding plagiarized passages in the text are highlighted in color and provided with a link to the original source.
- 24 hours after using our plagiarism checker, your data is completely deleted.
If you don’t receive an email with your plagiarism report after completing the plagiarism check, please look at your spam folder.
In very rare cases, problems may arise during transmission. If you can’t find the email in your spam folder, please contact us at plagiarism@bachelorprint.com. We will then send you the plagiarism report manually in a separate email.
