General

Participating in BachelorPrint’s “Thesis of the Month” contest is free and participants must meet the following eligibility requirements.

Eligibility

To participate in this contest, you must have your academic paper printed and bound at www.bachelorprint.com. In addition, contestants must create a public post on their Facebook or Instagram account that includes a photo of their academic paper (which has been printed by BachelorPrint), a link to BachelorPrint’s Facebook account www.facebook.com/bachelorprint or Instagram profile @bachelorprint, use the hashtag #thesisofthemonth, and also review and recommend the BachelorPrint service.

We can, at our discretion, exclude contestants if legitimate reasons exist, for example, if the contestant:
(a) Uses any form of manipulation
(b) Breaches eligibility requirements
(c) Uses unfair and deceptive practices
(d) Does not adhere to contest rules

IMPORTANT:
All posts and links are fully checked for authenticity. If there is evidence that a predominantly large portion of Likes is from several countries, or that these were purchased or from a like exchange site, we can also exclude the contestant at our own discretion.

Contest procedure & participation

Every month we check the #thesisofthemonth hashtags on Facebook and Instagram. All posts with this hashtag are checked to make sure they meet the contest eligibility requirements. If they do, they will be included in the contest.

The participant who received the most likes for his posted photo of his or her thesis (or academic paper) and gave a detailed review of our service (at least 1 sentence) will be fully refunded for the total cost of the order pertaining to the post, up to a maximum of $300. The contestant with the second-highest number of likes will be refunded a total of 50% of his or her printing costs. The contestant with the third-highest number of likes will be refunded a total of 25% of his or her printing costs. Only 3 contestants can win. If all top contestants have the same number of likes, the contest provider reserves the right to decide whether the prize will be split evenly three ways or whether each of the winners will receive a different amount. The participant can only participate in the contest for a maximum of one month and must use the same thesis from the same order. The participant cannot participate in another contest using the same academic paper.

If the participant places another order for a different academic paper at the BachelorPrint shop, she or he can once again participate in the contest.
Contestants may not use several e-mail addresses or several Facebook or Instagram profiles to increase their chances of winning. Participating in the contest is free. If we establish that a participant used several fake profiles to increase the number of likes, this participant will be excluded from the contest.

Prizes, date when winners are declared and notified, transfer of prize:

The following prizes will be awarded:

1st prize: Total cost of the order (pertaining to the posted thesis), up to a maximum of $300.
2nd prize: 50% of the total cost of the order (pertaining to the posted thesis), up to a maximum of $300.
3rd prize: 25% of the total cost of the order (pertaining to the posted thesis), up to a maximum of $300.

Date on which winners are declared and notified:
Contestant entries will be analyzed and winners will be announced on the 1st workday of the following month, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The person with the most likes when the entries are assessed wins.

The winners of the contest will be informed soon after enties are asseded via an additional e-mail. Only the winner or the winner’s legal representative can accept the prize.

If the winner does not accept the prize within 1 week following a second notification, the prize can be transferred to another contestant.

Termination of contest
The contest provider reserves the right to end the contest with no prior notice and without providing reasons to the end of the month. However, the contests (or month) currently in progress will continue uninterrupted and will end at the end of the month, as usual.

Data protection
Participants must provide personal information in order to participate. Participants must ensure that personal information, particularly with respect to their first and last name and e-mail address, is accurate and correct. The contest provider guarantees that all personal data provided by the contestant will not be shared with third parties, nor will it be transferred to them for their use without the participant’s consent. If a contestant wins, she/he agrees to the publication of her/his name, the amount won and her/his winning photo in the marketing media used by the contest provider. In addition, the winner’s post on his or her timeline may not be deleted for at least 3 months. This includes the announcement of the winner on the contest provider’s website and social media platforms.

The contestant can withdraw his or her consent at any time. This revocation must be addressed in writing using the contact information provided under the Facebook fan page’s Terms of Use, or using the contact information on the contest provider’s website, as listed above. After revoking consent, the contestant’s recorded and saved personal data will be deleted immediately.

Facebook or Instagram disclaimer
This campaign is not connected to Facebook or Instagram and is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by the former.

Applicable law
Questions or complaints pertaining to the contest are to be addressed to the contest provider. For contact information, see the Terms of Use on the Facebook or Instagram fan page or the website. The contest provider’s contest is subject exclusively to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal recourse is not an option.

Severability clause
Should any provision of these eligibility requirements be or become ineffective or impracticable, in whole or in part, the validity of the remainder of the eligibility requirements shall not be affected. Instead of the ineffective provision, a provision shall be drafted that comes as close as possible to the business purpose of the original, in a legally permissible manner. This also applies in the case of loopholes in the provisions under these eligibility requirements.
